Some interesting results.
First, I got this.
( the sun )
Which is interesting. Parts of it characterise Artur so well: "You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind," and yet this is so wrong "and feelings of youthful energy."
So I tried again. And got ( The Hanged Man )
This seems much more appropriate to Artur.

I don't really want to say too much here except a big thanks to all the people in the games for the awesome roleplaying lately. There have been some scenes in this game that have reminded *why* I like to roleplay.

There were more as well, such lovely roleplaying. I feel like this game has taken a long time to mature for me. Mostly because I have really struggled with Artur and his place in the game. Strong "performances" from the players around me have helped me through this and have created some very rich roleplaying experiences.
And finally thanks to

Based on This post in Mash's LJ and the comment discussion I am prompted to muse, when I really should be doing something better with my time.
I don't have the right flist to block this so that only players can see it, but I don't think it will really be of interest to anyone except me.
( a long and boring thought about Artur )

Had a great time on saturday. I was goig to post this as a comment in Evie's blog, but then it started looking like a whole post.
Stand out moments...
Talking with Datura and Parity over breakfast. Parity's obsession with water (what *is* that about) as Datura and Artur wathc him, neither asking and yet I think we both wanted too.
Datura innocently questioning the entire fabric of Mage society.
Thor forcing people to drink in order to discover if they are friend or foe. And, sadly (I expect) for Nyx, I think he has taken a shining to her. I mean she fixed his axe, she took the battle to the enemy and was an all round good viking. If only he hadn't been drunk the whole time (he had a bet with a headless guy about how much he could drink).
I also liked the way Bohem and Thor ran off to complete *their* quest. Which is after all, why they were there in the first place. And everyone thought Bohem was being irresponsible (including Bohem) except Thor. Not that he could say this, but it was the Hero's quest...And who's to say that taking the stolen thread out of the spiderhosts web didn't help, or even wasn't the main reason it broke.
Well, everyone except Thor, and well, he's too drunk to remember.
The battle itself, with Drake and Datura and Artur in glowing primal Armour standing against the storm of spiders as vampires fight around them. What an unlikely alliance. Who knows what will become of it. Segei and Artur had better complete their part of the deal. And What was Miklos talking to the Spider Host about?
And on the other side, the fire and lightening, and Werewolves and weirdness of the glade...all good.
Then there was the way Bohem effectively sabotaged his own plans by convincing Nyx and Artur that Datura might be in trouble totally ruining Parity and Datura's night. Althought they got their time afterall. I tell you man, the boy (Bohem) is trouble...
Then of course there was the Abyssal scene for Tabitha and Dauphin. I hope they were unnnerved by it. I was. I don't think we should take for granted how difficult it is to cross the abyss...
And their attempts to use the magic of the battle to get themselves across! The gall of it. It will not be forgotten.
All in all a very good session. Ncely done Jarratt. And well played all you awesome players.
